Who am I?

I grew up among the rolling hills of the Wiltshire countryside, privately educated at a girls boarding school (- should I tell you all the naughty details in person?), with a cut-glass accent and the composure to match.  I’ve always been insatiably curious, with a flair for the erotic and a burning desire to experience everything life can offer to the very fullest.  It has been known to get me in trouble from time to time, but can you really expect to create a life well-lived by blending in and following the crowd?

I’ve seen much of what this world has to offer, and yet it feels like only a fraction. I’ve visited almost every continent, speak 3 languages, and have studied many more. By day, I’m completing my postgraduate studies in security and geopolitics, but my true passions lie in the creative, the novel, and the liminal.

A roving intellectual, I’m inquisitive by nature and and I’m always keen to hear a fresh perspective. I relish conversation on almost any subject, and have recently taken a new interest in finance and trading. If this is your niche, I’m all ears.

I’d hate to be a cliche, but I really do love classical music, and there’s no afternoon better spent than in front of the piano mastering the work of my favourite composers. There’s not a concerto I’d refuse to see, and it’s my mission to visit every jazz bar in London. But really, despite the call of the city lights, I’m a country girl at heart. On trips back to the furthest south west of England and rural Scotland, you’ll find me most often in wellies and overcoat, scaling the cliff path and inspecting the local flora, botany guide in hand and a cider for the summit.

While it’s certainly true that every girl loves a plush hotel - my favourite’s a boutique affair - top of my list of once-in-lifetime adventures is a jaunt through Central Asia along the Silk Road. The road less travelled has always appealed to me, and I like to take my time when exploring the unknown.

So, what to make of me? I know what I like, and I think you do too. You yearn for the extraordinary and never settle for anything less. They say that time waits for no man, and you know that all too well. You see the value in exceptional experiences and you know the thrill of inspired action.

Each day I remind myself that beauty is found around every corner and in the most unexpected of places. Ask yourself, do you? Now is the time to remind yourself of who you really are.

If life’s but a dream within a dream, why not come and play…?
